Lead capture

capture_lead hands a buyer to the company's team, with their quote attached, and sends the lead to the company's CRM.

What it asks

  1. Email, checked for a valid address.
  2. Name.

Either is skipped if the buyer already gave it. The lead is saved with the buyer's quote from get_a_quote in the same conversation, if there is one, and the buyer sees a confirmation card.

Calling it

→ tools/call capture_lead {"email": "jo@acme.com", "name": "Jo Lee"}
← Lead sent to Acme's team. Tell Jo the team will follow up at jo@acme.com.

The tool tells the assistant to collect only details the buyer offers, never to invent them, and not to promise a response time the company hasn't published.

Sending leads to a CRM

The Origami team can connect your app to a CRM on request. Every new lead is then posted to your webhook as JSON, signed with HMAC-SHA256, so it works with Zapier, Make, HubSpot or your own endpoint. See the payload and how to verify it.

Webhooks aren't retried yet. Every lead is also stored with the app, and failed deliveries are flagged.
